The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Megli's "Ishura: The New Demon King War" has announced the fourth set of its main cast members. Morikubo Shotarou will play Regnejee, the commander of the Wyvern Army of the New Duchy of Lithia. Amamiya Sora will play Curte, a girl who loses her home and her eyesight to a "real demon king" and heals Regnejee with her beautiful singing voice.

The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2023. It will be directed by Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Angel Beats!) and animated by david production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Fire Force).
In a statement, Morikubo said that he was drawn to the role of Regnejee because of his kindness and his hidden feelings of seeking peace. Amamiya said that she was moved by Curte's purity and the air of Regnejee, who teased her but also showed how much he cared for her.
The anime is based on the manga series of the same name, which is serialized in KADOKAWA's "Dengeki no Shinbungei" and "Monthly Shonen Magazine." The manga has been praised for its action-packed story and its well-developed characters.
